Black Cat Editing & Design

Why did I choose the name Black Cat Editing & Design? It’s a little bit of a story. You see I have this little …(laughs little, that’s an inaccurate description) cat. She is a smoky caramel york cat. Rare breed according to research, kind of an accidental breed. She was tiny and only maybe the south side of 4 weeks old when a friend of ours snatched her up as she was passing by his feet. You see, she was feral, a wild domestic cat.

She is all black, with one teeny tiny white tuft of fur on her chest and the greenest eyes you have ever seen. Quite the character! When she came to me she fit in the palm of my hand, tiny and fierce. Took nearly 6 weeks for her to stop hissing and spitting and growling at me. She wouldn’t even come out of her box I gave her to hide in. She is still half feral even to this day.

She is my familiar. My little kitty partner in crime. She is my little guard cat who growls at barking dogs she hears outside but runs like someone shoved a rocket up her butt if she sees my husband’s cousin walk in (she really hates that guy, sweetest guy you’ll ever meet but she hates him with a solid passion).

She’s clumsy like me, silly and I’m her human and she’s my baby kitty. So, just like her, my work ethic is fierce and my attention to detail (barking dogs?) is impeccable. That’s why Black Cat Editing & Design has the name it does…a simple little nod to my fierce little green eyed feline friend.

I am also the owner and operator of the document tech business Black Cat Editing & Design. If you have a question about our publishing house and LLC, I’m the girl you want to see!
