Seána Walsh is a children’s theatre teacher and director. She lives in a little house called Dandelion Burrow in the wilds of Western Massachusetts. Her passion for reading was encouraged by her mother, who patiently took her to the library every Saturday to carry armloads of books to the checkout desk. She believes in magic, and hopes that you do, too.

Megan Day Afron Walker

Illustrator: Megan Day Afon Walker is a creative mixed media artist, based in the United States, and originally from the UK. Her passion for helping other through creativity, led her to study Art Therapy at The University of Massachusetts as an undergraduate student. Teaching art as a therapeutic practice to adults, as well as introducing art to elementary through high school students as a creative outlet, has fueled her passion for art therapy and the power of the creative mind. Her work has been featured in galleries across New England.

Synopsis

Inspired by the ancient myths and legends of Scotland, Maisie goes on a quest to find a way to care for her mom, learning about herself along the way. This charming tale, introduces readers to the rich history of Scotland, a realm of magic and mystery, as well as providing the building blocks for younger readers to enable them to understand a very adult problem like breast cancer.
