As a child, my favorite playthings were always my pencil, paper, coloring books, and the like. I remember sitting for hours trying to replicate a picture from my collection of beloved books. My Parents saw in me a talent they felt needed to be fed so at the age of 16 I traveled to live with my Sister in Ottawa, Canada for a year and enrolled in an Art Course. With the knowledge I received there I returned home to Australia and continued as a Hobby Artist.

I have always been captivated by people’s faces and what makes each one unique. This inspired me to turn my pencil towards portraiture. Being able to capture someone’s likeness and character on paper has been very rewarding for me. The reactions I’ve received about my art have been overwhelming and this encourages me each day to do better. The greatest reward is to see the joy on the face of a client when they first see a finished piece. Sometimes you find people in life that you knew you were always destined to meet. Patsy is not just an amazing artist, grandmother, and human, but she is extremely gifted with art. Her depth, shading, composition are all amazing and we are thrilled to have her bringing to life our amazing book; Morufell! The illustrations that have been delivered are not only gorgeous, but she has brought the book to life! We cannot recommend her any more highly than to say that if you need art done, hire this lady! You will not be disappointed.

Novel Style

Morufell is written in the third person as the story is woven through a ‘mysterious’ narrator who tells the story as they remember it.
