Artist’s Corner: Egric

How the Egric cover imagery and typography was chosen.

The boy on this cover was a perfect fit for Egric. The original had blond hair and that had to be changed. I wanted the focus to be on Egric, the main character as a young boy rather than the grown young adult he is in the book.

I wanted the finality of him being the last of the forest people to pop out at the reader. The mysterious boy from the perceived darkness that becomes the unlikely hero of the story.
