Synopsis

Junked is written as a continuous narrative. The chapters of the novella flow through the life of a character as they struggle with addiction. It is painful, real, and personal. The author uses her own experiences and life as a model for surviving living with people who suffer from addiction.

Chapters

James: Main Character. James is the grandchild of the narrator of These Chains.

Gramps: Main character and narrator of the story. Gramps is the grandfather of James.

Addiction is a disease, and those suffering from it, don't always know when to get help. Accepting that, you can learn how to help those struggling by offering therapy, and getting them help. Sometimes they won't accept it, and sometimes, it feels hopeless, the road to recovery is long. We encourage those who struggle and those who live with those struggling to talk, be open, and get the help you need.
