Morufell is the story of two children who find themselves thrust into a different world filled with gods, elves, giants, ogres and the dead. The tale is told through a mysterious narrator who seems to know things that have happened and will happen to our main characters. The book is funny, insightful and full of illustrations.

As a child, my favorite playthings were always my pencil, paper, coloring books, and the like. I remember sitting for hours trying to replicate a picture from my collection of beloved books. My Parents saw in me a talent they felt needed to be fed so at the age of 16 I traveled to live with my Sister in Ottawa, Canada for a year and enrolled in an Art Course. With the knowledge I received there I returned home to Australia and continued as a Hobby Artist.
I have always been captivated by people’s faces and what makes each one unique. This inspired me to turn my pencil towards portraiture. Being able to capture someone’s likeness and character on paper has been very rewarding for me. The reactions I’ve received about my art have been overwhelming and this encourages me each day to do better. The greatest reward is to see the joy on the face of a client when they first see a finished piece. Sometimes you find people in life that you knew you were always destined to meet. Patsy is not just an amazing artist, grandmother, and human, but she is extremely gifted with art. Her depth, shading, composition are all amazing and we are thrilled to have her bringing to life our amazing book; Morufell! The illustrations that have been delivered are not only gorgeous, but she has brought the book to life! We cannot recommend her any more highly than to say that if you need art done, hire this lady! You will not be disappointed.
Each chapter takes us to a place within Morufell. A full guide to the land is below.
The illustrations inside Morufell are all hand drawn. Artist Patsy Lundberg-Day took the vision of the novel and created lifelike art that brought the book to life.
Her detailed eye and ability to adapt to our notes, made the drawings personal to our writers. Patsy made Morufell alive and we are so lucky to have had such an accomplished artist take this project on.
